Exploring images as living expressions of your inner world

Images arise in many forms—fleeting impressions, inner scenes, dream-like figures, or a felt sense that takes shape without words.

These images are not random. They are expressions of the inner world.

Rather than analyzing or interpreting them from a distance, this workshop invites you to experience images directly—to stay with them, relate to them, and allow meaning to emerge over time.

This is less about understanding images, and more about meeting what they carry.

  • You’re curious about your inner world and want to explore it beyond thoughts and analysis

  • You’ve had experiences of imagery (in dreams, imagination, or felt sense) and want to engage them more directly

  • You’re interested in depth-oriented or experiential approaches to self-exploration

  • You want a way of working with inner experience that feels grounded, not abstract or overly interpretive

What to Expect

  • A small, intimate group (limited to 8 people)

  • A guided introduction to working with images as lived experience

  • Experiential exercises allowing images to arise naturally

  • Practice staying with images rather than analyzing or interpreting them

  • Opportunities to relate to images as expressions of different parts of the psyche

  • Optional drawing or simple visual expression (no art experience needed)

  • Time for reflection, journaling, and optional sharing

  • A grounded, non-performative space—no pressure to share more than you want

About the Facilitators

Grady M Fort, LMFT

I’ve spent over 20 years immersed in group work, both as a participant and facilitator. What continues to move me is how powerful it is to step out of isolation and into shared space—where experience can be witnessed, felt, and explored together.

 

This offering grows out of that foundation, with a focus on how the inner world often takes shape through image.

Rather than approaching images as something to interpret or decode, this work invites a different stance—one of curiosity, patience, and direct experience. Images are treated as living expressions of the psyche, carrying meaning that unfolds over time when given attention.

 

 

My background in parts work informs this approach. Images can often be understood as expressions of different parts of the self, and working with them becomes a way of relating to these parts with respect rather than trying to figure them out.

 

In these spaces, you can expect something grounded and experiential. Less about explanation, more about contact—with what arises internally, and at times, with others in the room. My role is to help create a container that feels steady enough for that kind of exploration.

 

This work isn’t about doing it “right.” It’s about learning how to stay with what emerges, and allowing meaning to take shape in its own time.
